Uses
- Used to create raised images with stencils
- Ideal for Thick applications
- Ideal for use on flexible surfaces without cracking
- Can be overpainted with acrylics, oils, watercolors, graphite or dry pastels.
Application
- Use on rigid supports only
- Apply with knife or tool
- Ensure paste is completely dry before sanding, carving or drilling into.
- To make an absorbent ground, mix 1 part Modeling Paste to 3 parts Bluebird Gesso, apply with a trowel/roller, leave to dry, sand smooth and repeat if needed.
- Curing Time: 48 hours
Don’ts
- Do not use with any non-acrylic compatible media
- Drying too quickly will cause cosmetic (not structural) cracks
- Do not use on flexible supports unless mixed with another medium

How to use
- Can apply with roller or brush
- Before varnishing, ensure paint surface is fully dry (72 hours-two weeks depending on thickness) and your space is well ventilated and dust-free.
- Always do a test before applying to your work
- Place the work to be varnished flat on a table – do not varnish vertically
- Apply no more than 1-2 thin coats as thick applications may result in cloudiness when dry
- Allow at least three hours dry time between coats
- Thin coats are better than one thick coat which will take longer to dry, may dry cloudy, drip or sag during application and has a greater chance of showing brush strokes when dry
- Avoid vigorous over-brushing as it may result in a cloudy finish. While working, inspect the varnish layer at all angles for bubbles. Even them out immediately
