Heavy Gel Gloss
Bluebird Heavy Gel Gloss is a thick, clear-drying acrylic medium which:
- Is thicker in consistency than Bluebird Acrylic Colours.
- Blends with colours to increase body.
- Is good for holding peaks.
- Dries translucent.
It can be used to create glazes and extend paints. Gels can be thought of as colorless paint, as they are composed of 100% acrylic polymers similar to acrylic paint.

WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
- Increases viscosity to create an oil paint-like consistency that holds knife and brush marks

HOW TO USE IT?
- Mix as much as you like into Bluebird Acrylic Colours to increase viscosity and transparency – the more you add, the more transparent your color will become
- This is semi-opaque when wet, transparent when dry – when used very thickly it may dry semi-opaque
- Do not vigorously over-brush as this can result in a foggy, hazy look when dry
- Do not use with any non-acrylic compatible media
